center for pastoral leadership - wickliffe, ohio
Henninger's worked on the chapel renovation at Center for Pastoral Leadership - the Diocese of Cleveland's seminary. The architect was Rick Ziska and our committee was led by CPL's clergy - Rev. Christopher Trenta, Rev. Mark Latkovich, Rev. Patrick Anderson, Rev. John Paul Kuzma OFM Cap., and Rev. Mark Ott. Bishops Most Rev. Michael Woost and Most Rev. Edward Malesic also contributed to our planning. CPL employees Phil Guban, Bryan Stadnik and Agnieszka Bieniek were integral to the coordination of our plans and work. We repainted the interior, installed a new porcelain tile floor in the naves and a new marble floor and steps in the sanctuary. A new wood Reredos was built by New Holland Church Furniture. Its style was inspired by the Trevi Fountain in Rome. The Reredos was designed let sound pass through the acoustic grille from the new pipe organ behind it.
The pews were refinished, with new kneelers installed. The antique tabernacle was refinished as new. New marble furniture was designed by Henninger's and fabricated by Costa Paolo in Carrara, Italy. These impressive pieces will last the test of time in their important role in Cleveland's seminary. The overall aesthetic has changed dramatically, to a classic style that fits within the chapel's architecture.
