Immaculate Conception Church - Willoughby, OH

In late 2017, a 96" x 64" painting of Our Lady was discovered at Immaculate Conception Church, covered in mud and dirt. The painting was brought to Henninger's to be restored and brought back to life. The painting was assessed, and the process of restoration began. Henninger's artists researched the painting to find other images in local churches. The painting was cleaned, holes in the frail canvas were repaired, and new paint was added to restore the faded paint. A new frame was added to match the newly painted and renovated lobby of the church. The photos and videos above show the process that Henninger's artist went through to bring the painting back to life.
